Thames Federation

Our federation consists of James Lee Nursery, Bayonne Nursery School and Melcombe Primary School.

From 1st September 2019 Bayonne and James Lee Nursery Schools federated with Melcombe Primary School to form the Thames Federation.

The schools in the federation are governed by one governing body and with one executive head teacher and senior leadership team.

It will lead to exciting opportunities to the benefit of the school communities and the wider local community
It brings together very successful organisations to create a strong centre of good practice in the area
It will secure nursery school provision in a sustainable fashion
It creates a secure, stable learning structure providing more opportunities for a seamless transition between pre-school, nursery and reception
It has professional and career benefits for staff
